WWE is expressing interest in signing former Ring of Honor star and Top Prospect winner Lio Rush to its NXT brand, according to a PWInsider.com report.
Rush was spotted backstage at the first Raw after WrestleMania 33, and is no longer with ROH.
The 22-year-old first debuted in 2014, competing in Maryland Championship Wrestling and Combat Zone Wrestling. In MCW, Rush formed a team with current NXT prospect Patrick Clark to win the tag team titles. He also won the 15th Shane Shamrock Memorial Cup.

Rush signed a full-time contract in 2016 with the Ring of Honor, allowing him to challenge Jay Lethal for the ROH World Championship and compete in the Survival of the Fittest tournament.
After vying for the ROH Six-Man and Tag Team Championships, Rush gave his notice to the promotion. Since leaving the company in March, he has spent more time competing for EVOLVE Wrestling – which, it should be noted, has a working relationship with WWE and allows its stars to break contracts in order to sign with the global promotion.
