Steve Armstrong, a referee for WWE, took to Twitter to commend his father, WWE Hall of Famer “Bullet” Bob Armstrong, on his battle with bone cancer in several parts of his body. The 80-year old star was a multi-time NWA regional champion and a major player for Smokey Mountain Wrestling. He was also ranked by PWI as one of the top 500 wrestlers in 1995 and 2003.

His son Steve writes, “Today my 80yr old Dad, @WWE Hall of Famer Bullet Bob, asked if he could come over to get a workout! He’s got bone cancer in his ribs, shoulder and prostate and chose not to go through any treatment (his choice)! I put 30lbs on there and he said, “Gimme 100lbs!!!”
