Thanks to rajah.com reader Rem Martinez for sending in this report!

Hey guys, I’m back from the WWE House Show at the Citizen’s Business Bank Arena in Ontario, California. Enjoy the Champ’s Report of this show.

Match #1

Jack Swagger w/Zeb Colter vs Zack Ryder

Zeb cut a hilarious promo before the match. “Why do you people live in a City called Ontario? That sounds like Canada to me. I have ordered buses, at my own expense, to take all of you illegal immigrants back home after the show. You people boo me because I tell the truth. We The People!” A solid opening match with Swagger in control most of the way with a little help from Uncle Zeb. Swagger hit the Swagger Bomb and locked in the Patriot Lock, but Ryder was able to break free. Swagger attempts another Swagger Bomb, but Ryder gets his knees up and Swagger is stunned. Zack rolls him up 1-2-3!

Winner: Zack Ryder

Post-Match, Zeb get back on the mic and says “You people are rude! Jack Swagger and I will never come back to this city again!”

The Shield appear on the big screen and say they are a dominant force and they won’t lose their titles tonight. Something tells me that they are right.

Match #2

Alicia Fox vs Tamina Snuka

The word “Dull” comes to mind here. Alicia didn’t do much (except for an arm drag and a couple of Dropkicks). This match was about Tamina’s strength and dominance. Tamina goes for the Superfly Splash, but Alicia gets her knees up and Tamina is stunned. Ms. Foxy hits the Scissors Kick and gets the 1-2-3.

Winner: Alicia Fox

Match #3

Rob Van Dam vs Dean Ambrose (c) for the WWE United States Championship

This was a pretty decent match (not quite as good as their Summerslam Kickoff Match from last weekend). Ambrose spent a lot of time mocking RVD. RVD hit all of the usual spots and was in total control. RVD connected with the Rolling Thunder and was looking to put Ambrose away with the 5 Star Frog Splash and capture the US Title. Before RVD can attempt it, Dean is back up and climbs to the top rope with RVD. Dean attempts a Superplex, but Rob Van Dam shoves him off. RVD connects with a Cross Body, but Ambrose rolls through it and pins the former WWE Champion 1-2-3. RVD looks completely shocked.

Winner: And Still United States Champion Dean Ambrose

Justin Roberts announces that Fandango will take on The Miz later on in the show and we can vote for the stipulation. We can vote for a Dance Contest or a Wrestling Match. Dance Contest wins…..I am suddenly thinking of a word Ron Simmons used to say……….Anyway, Justin brings out a special guest….Rey Mysterio! Rey says he misses wrestling and the fans. Before he can tell us when he’s returning, the Shield’s Music hits. Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns surround the ring. Big Show and Mark Henry make the save and our next match is underway.

Match #4

Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins (c) vs Big Show and Mark Henry for the WWE Tag Team Championship

This match started out as a comedy match with Reigns and Rollins getting frustrated because they were being overpowered by the Challengers. Mark Henry had Seth Rollins down and he was calling for a Leg Drop. The former “Sexual Chocolate” misses and the Tag Team Champions take control. They isolate Henry from his corner and continue the assault on him. Henry is able to get free and makes a hot tag to the World’s Largest Athlete! Big Show is cleaning house. Show attempts a Double Chokeslam, but the Tag Champs kick Big Show and attempt a Double Suplex, but Big Show blocks it and ends up Suplexing Rollins and Reigns by himself. Big Show is fired up! Suddenly, Big Show is hit in the back with the United States Title belt by Dean Ambrose and that will cause a Disqualification.

Winners: Big Show and Mark Henry via Disqualification

Sorry boys, you cannot win the belts by DQ. The Shield are assaulting Big Show and Mark Henry, but here comes RVD to make the save. RVD and Big Show get taken down, but Mark Henry chases the Hounds of Justice away with a Steel Chair.

Intermission Time

Match #5

The Usos and Justin Gabriel vs The Wyatt Family

We’re here. This match was actually 3 on 2 for a while because Bray Wyatt decided to chill out in his Rocking Chair for a bit. It didn’t matter, Luke Harper and Erick Rowan were overpowering their opponents. Justin was getting whopped until he made a tag to Jimmy Uso. This is when Bray Wyatt entered the match. Jimmy laid Wyatt out with a stiff Superkick. Jimmy tried to hit the Splash off of the top rope, but Harper provided a distraction which allowed Bray Wyatt to Capitalize. Bray put Uso away with Sister Abigail (The Swinging Reverse STO). 1-2-3.

Winners: Bray Wyatt, Erick Rowan and Luke Harper

Match #6

The Miz vs Fandango w/Summer Rae

Miz has a mic and addresses the WWE Universe. He says “You people attend a WWE Live Event and you vote for a Dance Contest. You really want to see me dance against Rainbow Brite here? Really? Really? Really? Fandango does his normal dancing and now it’s Miz’s turn. Just as he starts, Fandango attacks him from behind and the ref starts the match. Miz looks kind of pale here. It looks like he hasn’t seen a tanning bed in a little while. Anyway, it was a pretty even match. Miz tries to get the Figure Four locked in, but Fandango counters it into a small package……1-2-Kickout by the Miz. Miz attempts the Figure Four again, but this times succeeds in locking it in. The ref is asking Fandango if he quits, but this allows Summer Rae to rake the eyes of Miz. Fandango tries to put Miz away, but Miz gets him in the Figure Four again. Fandango taps quickly.

Winner: The Miz via Submission

Main Event

Daniel Bryan vs Randy Orton (c) for the WWE Championship

Huge crowd reaction for both men. Randy Orton is still cheered like a face. Lots of YES chants as expected. This was a TV quality Main Event and better than anything I have ever seen at a House Show. A very back and forth match with D-Bry trying to get a quick Submission on the Apex Predator. Randy was able to slam Bryan into the Steel Steps and decided to antagonize the crowd by doing the YES chant. Randy really knows how to work a crowd. Randy attempts the RKO, but Bryan counters it into a Backslide…1-2-Kickout by the WWE Champion. Daniel lays into Orton with a series of kicks as the crowd backs him with a YES chant. Daniel is about to put Orton way by attempting to lock in the Yes Lock, but Orton fights out of it. Daniel Bryan eventually gets it locked in and Randy is stuck in the middle of the ring with nowhere to go. Randy is about to tap…….Is Daniel Bryan going to win back the WWE title? Cue the Shield. They attack Bryan and the ref calls for the bell.

Winner: Daniel Bryan via Disqualification

Randy Orton leaves as Daniel Bryan is getting a 3 on 1 beatdown. Here comes RVD and Mark Henry! Seth Rollins get the World Strongest Slam, Dean Ambrose gets the Five Star Frog Splash, and Roman Reigns gets D-Bry’s Flying Knee Attack to send the fans home happy.

This was a one match House Show with some lower card stuff that was just fine.
