WWE introduced a new design for the NXT Cruiserweight Championship on Saturday night, awarding the new belt to Angel Garza shortly before his Fatal 4-Way defense at Worlds Collide.
The updated design has replaced the large WWE logo in the center place with a large NXT logo. The belt itself appears to be black, although that could just be the lighting as it looked more like a very dark purple when presented in the ring later in the show.
Unfortunately for Garza, he only got a chance to hold the new title belt for a few hours. NXT UK Superstar Jordan Devlin won their Fatal 4-Way match at Worlds Collide, in a wild bout that also featured the “Kiwi Buzzsaw” Travis Banks and Isaiah Swerve Scott.
With the deck stacked against him, can @_garzajr walk out of Houston with his new #NXTCruiserweight Championship? #WorldsCollide
