WWE’s black-and-gold brand returns this week at Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida tonight for this week’s episode of NXT On USA.

WWE NXT RESULTS (3/4/20): WINTER PARK, FL.

NXT Show Opening

A video package highlighting last week’s NXT on USA airs as go into tonight’s episode.

The crowd is chanting “NXT! NXT” as we march on to Mauro Ranallo who welcomes us to NXT on USA as we start the show. NXT starts off tonight with Dakota Kai taking on Tegan Nox in a Steel Cage match!

Women’s Steel Cage Match
Tegan Nox vs. Dakota Kai

Out first is Tegan Nox as her music sounds in the Full Sail University Arena in Winter Park, FL. Kai makes her way down the ramp and enter’s the ring which is surrounded by a steel cage for tonight’s match up. Out next is Dakota Kai accompanied by Raquel Gonzales as they make their way down the ramp towards the ring where Nox is awaiting her opponent inside the cage.

Kai enters the cage as Gonzales stands outside the cage ringside. A “Let’s Go Tegan!” chant begins which is offset by a “Let’s Go Kai!” chant, fans split down the middle as the bell rings and the match begins. Shining Wizard on Kai by Nox early in the match. A “Tegan! Tegan!” chant begins once again as Nox lands a Cross-body on Kai.

Back and forth action between the two women inside the steel cage, Nox uses her back to attack Kai in the corner of the ring, followed by a pin attempt. Kai kicks out at two. Full head of steam as Nox runs, slamming her shoulder into Kai in the corner of the ring once again. Kai counters, as she rams Nox into the cage as we go to our first commercial break.

As we come back from commercial, Nox slams Kai into the steel cage repetitively as Gonzales looks on with concern from the outside of the cage. The crowd chanting, “Tegan! Tegan!” then following up with “You Deserve It!” towards Nox. Nox holds Kai in a Standing Cross-body, slamming her backwards with a bridge pin backwards for the two count.

Kai lands a kick, followed by slamming her knees into the back of Nox followed by a pin attempt of her own, Nox kicking out at two. Nox setting Kai up for the element of surprise with a quick roll up for the two count. Nox begins climbing the cage, making her way to the top with one leg over the top.

Kai back to her feet, climbing the ropes after Nox. Kai stops Nox, pulling her back in, both women standing on the ropes. Nox throws Kai to the mat from the top rope, Kai flying 6-8 feet through the air and landing on her back. Kai looking to knock Nox’s block off with massive kicks as the fight goes back in the ring.

Cannon Four by Nox, knocking the air out of Kai’s lungs in the corner of the ring. A “Tegan! Tegan!” chant begins once again. Nox gets to the top of the cage, looking down at Gonzales, then turning around and flying 20 feet through the air for a Cross-body onto Kai inside the ring. Nox looking to exit the cage through the door, Gonzales slams into the referee, holding the door shut.

Kai kicks the cage door into Gonzales. Shiniest Wizard by Nox for the two and a half count on Kai in the center of the ring. The crowd pops, shouting, “One More Time!” Gonzales on the apron inside the cage, Kai with a kick to the head of Gonzales. Nox climbs over the cage, beginning her descent down the cage’s outside as Kai stops her.

Gonzales goes to drag Kai out of the ring, Nox slams the cage door into the injured knee of Kai. Gonzales holds the door open, trapping Nox between the door and the cage as Kai exits the ring through the open door for the win.

Winner: Dakota Kai

After the Match

Highlights of the match are replayed. Gonzales helps Kai back up the ramp, Kai smiling deviously as she holds her hand up in victory, looking back at Nox who is still ringside.

Video Package: Finn Balor Delivers Message

Balor seen sitting alone in the video, keeping his head down as he says, “So far, I’ve always made the first move. I want to thank you Walter, you forced my hand. You are not going to like my reaction. See you, sooner than you think.”

We go to commercial once again.

Video Package: Rhea Ripley’s Road To Wrestlemania

We enter the Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, FL where Rhea Ripley begins, “I can’t get over how many seats are here” as she walks onto the field, looking around at all the seats in the stadium. Ripley continues on to say when she started wrestling, it was sometimes in front of fifty to a hundred people, sometimes less. Pictures are shown of Ripley when she was younger and throughout her career.

Ripley says when she first started her career, people would constantly say, “She looks like a mini-Charlotte”, as videos of a young blonde Ripley in-ring are shown. Ripley continues to say she attempted to show herself separately and come into her own. Ripley acknowledges Flair as a champion, quoting Flair’s “To be the best, you have to beat the best”, Ripley ending saying she will beat the best to be the best.

Shotzi Blackheart vs. Chelsea Green

Blackheart makes her way down the ramp and enters the ring wearing her helmet over her green hair. Blackheart climbs the corner turnbuckle, sticking her tongue out as she’s cut short, interrupted by, “Representing the Robert Stone Brand, she is the face of the Women’s Division… Chelsea Green!”

Chelsea Green makes her way down the ramp, entering the ring, posing in the center of the ring. The referee signals for the bell, bell rings and the match begins. The crowd chants, “Let’s Go Shotzi!” Blackheart takes Green down to the mat early on in this match. Green rolls through landing a Japanese Arm Drag, Blackheart with a Traditional Arm Drag for the counter.

Backstabber by Green for the pin attempt, Lateral Arm Press for the cover as Blackheart kicks out. Back to their feet, Back Elbow by Green on Blackheart. Both women back to their feet. Blackheart throwing rights, getting Green into the corner, lifting her to a sitting position on the top turnbuckle. Missile Dropkick by Green from the top, almost knocking Blackheart to the outside.

Green gets the face lock on Blackheart, landing the “I’m Prettier” not the “Un-prettier” by Green for the three count, becoming the first competitor to qualify for the number one contender’s Ladder Match at TakeOver Tampa.

Winner: Chelsea Green

North American Champion Keith Lee up next, following commercial break!

All Bask In His Glory! Keith Lee In-Ring

As we come back from commercial break, North American Title holder Keith Lee’s music sounds as Lee makes his way down the ramp, holding his belt in his hand as he makes his way into the ring. “All Bask In His Glory!” chant begins as the music cuts. Lee grabs his mic, first allowing the crowd to chant. “Keith Lee! Whoop-whoop!” chant begins as Lee starts, “Greetings and salutations, you are now conversing with the ‘Limitless One’ Keith Lee.” the crowd claps and cheers.

Lee continues on to say many men have invoked his name, men like Dominik Dijakovic. Men like Damian Priest, who want to live forever, Keith gives credit where credit is due. Before he can go on, Lee is interrupted by Cameron Grimes’s music sounding. Grimes making his way to the stage, “You don’t need to be talking about Priest or Dijakovic. You need to be talking about me.”

The crowd begins chanting, “No One Likes You!” over and over, Grimes finally addressing the crowd, “Whoa whoa… I like me.” Grimes goes on to brag about his actions from last week. Lee says, “Congratulations, you’ve just made the biggest mistake of your career”. The crowd boos Grimes. Lee finally says, “What do you have to say, that has you in the ring with me right now?” The crowd boos again. Grimes says some would say that was a 5 star match, ending by saying Regal gave Grimes the opportunity to wrestle Lee for the North American Championship next week.

As Grimes goes to continue, Lee shoves Grimes out of the ring. Lee says, “You want an opportunity next week if your a star and i’m five star and everything in between, next week is an equal opportunity ass whoopin.” With that, Lee’s music sounds as Lee holds his belt above his head, Grimes walking back up the ramp shouting inaudible rants at Lee. Lee holds his head high, ignoring Grimes as he basks in the glory of his championship reign.

Interview (Earlier Today)

Austin Theory is seen outside from earlier today, saying “It’s crazy to think I’m already one of the greatest in NXT history. I might as well re-write the history books…” Swerve Scott interrupts saying, “How about I take on ‘The Goat’ in Swerve’s house tonight”.

Backstage

Undisputed Era are seen warming up backstage as Adam Cole gives a pep talk, hyping them for their match coming up tonight.

Kyle O’Reilly & Bobby Fish vs. Oney Lorcan & Danny Burch

Out first, representing Undisputed Era are Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly as their music sounds in the arena. O’Reilly and Fish enter the ring, standing at opposing corners of the ring on the turnbuckle as they pose. Danny Burch and Oney Lorcan from 205 Live make their way down the ramp quickly entering the ring. The bell rings and the match begins.

The match starts off with kicks and chops back and forth between Lorcan and Fish in the center of the ring. The crowd chanting, “Undisputed!” All four men in the ring as both Lorcan and Fish make the tag. Lorcan fighting two on one as more shoulders and one-two connections are thrown.

Lorcan launches off the steps with a Double Blockbuster on Fish and O’Reilly who are standing ringside as we go to commercial break.

As we come back from commercial Bobby Fish with Oney Lorcan, Lorcan “hulking up” with each strike. Fish looking for Senton Atomico over the top rope, Lorcan lifts his knees, Fish slamming his back into Lorcan’s knees. O’Reilly tags in, as does Burch. Burch blasts O’Reilly with right hands. Fish runs over Burch inside the ring.

Burch covered, quickly kicking out. O’Reilly keeping the speed in this match up, Fish tagging in landing a strike to the rib cage of Burch. Burch throws a right, Fish taking multiple knee strikes dropping Burch to the mat. Fish tags O’Reilly back in. Quick tags keeping control of Burch. Back and forth action, finally Burch attempting to stretch his way to Lorcan for a much needed tag.

O’Reilly tags in, landing Burch on the mat again. Back to his feet, Burch makes the tag to Lorcan. Lorcan with European Uppercut. Lorcan with a Running Blockbuster, then clearing the ring. Fish and O’Reilly on the outside of the ring, Lorcan flies over the top rope landing on both members of Undisputed Era. Lorcan starts a clap in the ring.

Lorcan runs back and forth landing flesh to flesh on both O’Reilly and Fish in opposing corners of the ring. Finally O’Reilly and Fish land a combo on Lorcan for the three count pin and win.

Winners: Kyle O’Reilly & Bobby Fish

After the Match

Undisputed Era members Kyle and Bobby grab mics and say it feels good to be back to their “winning ways”. Bobby says that something’s off, their belts being with the “Loserweights”. Bobby continues talking trash, then interrupted by, “Broooo….”

Matt Riddle comes to the stage, saying he’s down for a re-match, as is Pete Dunn, The NXT Universe, and he’s sure Regal is too. Riddle is cut short as Grizzled Young Veterans James Drake and Zack Gibson come from behind, knocking Riddle to the floor.

Gibson takes the mic saying he doesn’t care about the re-match clause and he isn’t going to sit around and wait for Regal to chime in. As far as the titles are concerned, it’s out with the old, and in with the Grizzled Young Veterans, soon to be the world’s number one.

Austin Theory vs. Isaiah “Swerve” Scott

A video package highlights the events leading up to the Scott vs. Theory match tonight, we go to commercial break.

As we come back from commercial break, Isaiah “Swerve” Scott makes his way down the ramp, entering the ring. The arena goes black, the silhouette of Austin Theory shown at the top of the stage. Theory makes his way down the ramp with a smile on his face as he enters the ring with Scott. The bell rings and the match begins.

Swerve and Theory lock up quickly, Theory getting a Waist-lock on Swerve. Theory flips into a Side Headlock on Swerve, driving Swerve to the mat. Swerve back to his feet, Theory with a Back Elbow, Swerve avoids then counters with a Dropkick. Swerve keeping speed going for the advantage.

Swerve lands a Jumping Back Kick, landing Theory on the mat as we go to commercial break.

As we come back from commercial break, Rolling Thunder Drop Kick by Theory onto Swerve. Swerve back to his feet, Theory dominating Swerve into the corner. Slug-fest in the center of the ring. Swerve with a Clothesline to land Theory on the mat. Swerve launches himself out of the corner, nailing Theory between the shoulder blades.

Swerve with several kicks to the midsection of Theory. Flat Liner by Swerve for a pin attempt, Theory kicks out before the count of three. Theory fights off a Suplex, Up Kicks by Swerve. Theory lands a Buckle Bomb on Swerve. Swerve gets a two count following an RP1. Swerve looks for a submission move. Back and forth action between the two as they both look for the finish, Theory lands the ATL, even with the injured arm, for the three count pin and win.

Winner: Austin Theory

We go to commercial break.

Johnny Gargano Explains Why”

Mauro Ranallo has a sit down interview with Johnny Gargano at the Performance Center earlier today at the request of Gargano. Gargano attacking Ciampa at TakeOver Portland, Ranallo asks why. Gargano begins, “Do you remember I was the only guy to show up to your red carpet premiere of your documentary in New York?” Ranallo responds saying it means more than Gargano will ever know.

Gargano quotes Ranallo saying Gargano has “more heart than Valentine’s Day”. Gargano says it was not a sneak attack, he was wearing powder blue. Gargano says Ranallo doesn’t know anything. Doesn’t know what he’s been through, what he’s seen. Gargano continues to lose his temper, standing up, then containing himself.

Once again the question, “Why” comes up, Gargano jumps up and gets in the face of Mauro. “You know why!” Mauro says he doesn’t want any trouble. Gargano again says Mauro knows why, but if he admits that, he has to admit he’s a liar. Gargano asks Mauro if he called him or talked to him since Portland, Mauro says no. Gargano says that didn’t stop Mauro from calling him out of his name.

Gargano yells at Mauro who says he’s uncomfortable, asking to be removed from the interview. Gargano grabs Mauro telling him to look into the camera and apologize to those people. Mauro walks away. Gargano says, “You got nothin to say now, no ‘Mama Mia’s’ now huh? No quips.” Mauro exits as Gargano grabs the camera telling Ciampa next week things will be done the Johnny Gargano way.

Velveteen Dream vs. Roderick Strong

The arena goes black as smoke surrounds the top of the stage, purple lights engulfing Velveteen Dream as he makes his way down the ramp towards the ring. Dream steps toward the steel cage surrounding the ring, running his hand across the chain linked fence for his first steel cage match, finally climbing to the top, stopping to pose, then entering the ring where he finishes his entrance performance.

The lights return as the music sounds for Roderick Strong. Roderick Strong makes his way down the ramp and enters the ring through the opened door of the cage. Strong runs at Dream, hitting Dream with a Clothesline, not even waiting for the bell or the door to be shut. Strong begins pounding on Dream with strikes. Both men back to their feet, Dream strikes back. Dream jumps to the top rope, looking to exit the cage, Strong grabbing the bottom of Dream’s pants. Dream flies through the air onto Strong. The crowd starts an “Undisputed!” chant.

A kick to the face of Strong by Velveteen Dream. Fists of fury by Strong as he gains control of the match inside the steel cage. Strong throws Chops to the chest of Dream who is locked up in the ropes. Strong shouts, “You did this!” Strong off the ropes, slamming into Dream. Back Body Drop by Dream into Strong who slams into the cage. Strong’s wife slips a kendo stick through the links as we go to commercial break.

During the commercial break, we can see the match split screen where Dream grabs the kendo stick and hits Roderick several times. Strong takes hold of the kendo stick and removes it from the match.

As we come back from commercial break, Strong is climbing the cage, Dream right behind him. Dream jumps back in towards Strong, attempting to lock in the Boston Crab on Strong. Roderick back to his feet, getting the Strong Hold locked in on Dream. Dream hits the mat, the referee unsure if it was a tap or anger as he reached for the rope.

Strong is Drop Kicked into the cage by Dream. The crowd begins an “Undisputed” chant again as Dream lands a Super Kick on Strong. “Open the door” Dream commands. Strong picks up the kendo stick, Dream lands a kick on Strong, grabbing the kendo stick. Strong once again gains control of the kendo stick using it to land a unique Back Breaker.

Strong climbs the rope, climbing up the fence again. Dream pulls down the pants of Strong, exposing his butt to the Full Sail Arena! Strong pulling his pants up, grabbing Dream and dropping with an Olympic Slam from the top rope. Strong lands a cover, Dream kicks out at two. Strong crawls to the cage door, Dream dives ahead of Strong, looking to escape.

Strong drags Dream backwards and gets ahead of Dream, looking to exit through the door. Dream Valley Driver by Dream on Strong, then another. Dream climbs to the top rope, sitting on the top of the cage as he holds his hands up in victory.

Undisputed Era comes out, Dream jumps back in the ring as UE climbs the cage. Dream knocks O’Reilly off the cage. Cole is Rocket Launched by Dream inside the cage. Strong looking for the victory as he attempts to exit through the door, Dream shoves Strong out of the cage, allowing him to win.

Winner: Roderick Strong

After the Match

Velveteen Dream re-locks the door, stuck in the cage with Adam Cole. Dream smiles, knowingly sacrificing the win to get a hold of Cole. Dream attacks Cole with the kendo stick, landing a fury of strikes with the stick. Dream Valley Driver on the champ as the crowd cheers.

The crowd chanting, “Velveteen!” Dream holds the championship belt over his head. Dream slams the belt across the face of Cole. Dream stands over Cole holding the championship belt. Dream sits at the top of the cage as his music plays us out!
