The build to NXT TakeOver: In Your House picked up with the first match being confirmed for the show last night.
After Karrion Kross won his second match for NXT, he was confronted by the returning Tommaso Ciampa. It was the first time Ciampa has appeared since he was attacked by Kross last month.

Ciampa officially introduced himself to Kross. Ciampa said NXT is his home, but Kross already knows that and that’s why he made a point by attacking the main attraction. Ciampa said Kross is special and stands out even in a locker room full of the best professional wrestlers in the world. But Ciampa is special too, and that’s why he had to come out and let him know it will be Ciampa vs. Kross at TakeOver.
In a matchup of top contenders in the women’s division, Rhea Ripley and Io Shirai faced off in last night’s main event. They were interrupted by Charlotte Flair, with the NXT Women’s Champion standing tall after taking out both Ripley and Shirai.
Damian Priest issued a TakeOver challenge to Finn Balor, while the feud between Mia Yim & Keith Lee and Candice LeRae & Johnny Gargano continued heading into the June 7 special.
