• On today’s Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer indicated that WWE is likely planning to make some roster trades between Raw and Smackdown after WrestleMania.

  • WWE has been teasing this for a while, with Vince McMahon recently stating on an investor call that it will be a fresh change to see someone like Roman Reigns on Smackdown and then WWE.com posting a hypothetical article on which five trades between the brands they’d like to see.
  • As reported earlier, the Rock played up to the live audience at Raw by calling CM Punk, or attempting to least. As one would expect, there were people backstage who were “completely freaking out” that Rock was doing that, reports The Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

  • This is the second time the Rock has sort of gone off script (last year, he acknowledged some fans at ringside dressed up as some stars of the 80s and 90s which reportedly pissed off Vince) but most people backstage say that the Rock is “the only person alive who could have gotten away with it.” Judging by the Rock’s tweet, it doesn’t sound like he will stop doing what he wants.
