WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle will compete in his last match ever at WrestleMania 35. Given that Angle will go down as an absolute legend in the wrestling industry, fans were a bit disappointed when it was announced that Baron Corbin will be his final opponent. For fans who are hoping that the match will be changed, they are sure to be disappointed. PWInsider reports that Angle vs. Corbin is legitimately the match that WWE wants to have at the event this year. It was also mentioned that Angle apparently wanted to have his last match be against someone with a higher profile, but WWE ended up rejecting his ideas. The deleted social media posts from his wife expressing dissatisfaction with the match were apparently all real as well.
Another new addition has been made to the MLW roster. It was announced today that Air Wolf has signed a deal with the promotion and will begin competing there regularly very soon. Air Wolf competed for the promotion during their time in Chicago, Illinois earlier this month, and both sides apparently agreed on terms for a contract this past Friday. Air Wolf is a high-flying athlete that MLW describes as a “breakout wrestler” who was able to impress their scouts when he first stepped in the ring. Wolf was trained by former WWE Superstars Ken Anderson, Shawn Daivari, and Molly Holly. It has also been mentioned that MLW’s newest signee will be in action during the Rise of the Renegades event in New York on April 4th.
