Friday night’s SmackDown on Fox averaged 1.909 million viewers in the fast national ratings. That’s down 4.9 percent from last week’s overnight number.
The audience was relatively steady, with SmackDown averaging 1.92 million viewers in the first hour and dropping slightly to 1.898 million in the second.
In the 18-49 demo, SmackDown drew a 0.5 rating, the same as last week’s overnight number. Aside from the Olympics, which averaged 10.5 million viewers overall and a 2.3 rating in the 18-49 demo on NBC, SmackDown was the highest rated network show in that category. It even beat some CBS programming in terms of total viewers, which is a rarity.
This was the second straight week that SmackDown ratings were down since WWE’s return to touring on July 16.
Year-over-year, SmackDown’s viewership was up 0.9 percent. The 18-49 number was the same as this week in 2020.
