Seth Rollins was interviewed by Michael Cole in this week’s interview on WWE’s website (now moved to Fridays).

It was a toned-down Rollins talking calmly and confidently about his WWE Universal Title match against Finn Balor at Summerslam on August 21.

Rollins said he respects Balor and will take him seriously when they face off for the first time ever at Summerslam, but he doesn’t fear Balor and he’s not concerned about his “Demon” alter-ego potentially appearing at Summerslam.

Rollins vowed to become the first Universal champion in what he called the main event of Summerslam.

Playing up the fiction leading into the match, Rollins shot down the notion that he was shown favoritism by Stephanie McMahon getting a bye to the title match. Rollins said his accomplishments before The Draft and #1 Draft Pick status earned him the title match spot.
