Olympique de Marseille host Stade Rennais at the Vélodrome in the round of 32 of the Coupe de France this evening. Igor Tudor’s Les Phocéens will look to extend their impressive seven-game winning streak. Marseille qualified for this round after beating minnows Hyères in a tight encounter overshadowed by Eric Bailly’s dangerous high kick tackle that hospitalised an opponent.

Marseille and Rennes faced off earlier in the Ligue 1 season at Roazhon Park. The teams drew 1-1 as Mattéo Guendouzi scored at both ends of the pitch. More than 60.000 fans are expected for this mouth-watering Coupe de France tie between Ligue 1’s high-flyers. Marseille are third, two places above Rennes.
Predicted Marseille lineup against Stade Rennais
Tudor stated in his press conference that there won’t be much rotation between OM’s latest win at FC Lorient and tonight. The Croatian manager is expected to field his usual 3-4-3 formation. L’Equipe predict that the former Juventus defender will play the following team against Stade Rennais:
Pau Lopez – Chancel Mbemba, Samuel Gigot, Sead Kolasinac – Cengiz Ünder, Valentin Rongier, Jordan Veretout, Nuno Tavares – Mattéo Guendouzi, Alexis Sanchez, Ruslan Malinovskyi.
The match is set to kick off at 9:10pm CET.
