In case you missed it, two of wrestling’s greatest icons Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair will be choosing five WWE Superstars to represent them in a 10-man tag team match at the company’s upcoming Crown Jewel event in Saudi Arabia.
The announcement was made earlier this week on Monday Night Raw, and Impact Wrestling wasted very little time jumping into the conversation, poking a little fun at both WWE and their own history in the process.
Impact’s official Twitter account posted a promotional photo from their 2010 TNA Lockdown pay-per-view, which featuring yet another Team Flair vs. Team Hogan match. In this incarnation, the two actually wrestled, as the “Nature Boy” led Sting, Robert Roode, James Storm and Nigel McGuinness into a 10-man Lethal Lockdown steel cage match against Hogan, Abyss, Jeff Jarrett, Rob Van Dam and Jeff Hardy.
To be fair, if they wanted to completely redo that wild brawl, 8 out of the 10 of those named are in some way currently under contract with WWE.
