France Football report that Newcastle United and their manager Rafael Benitez have their eye on Ligue 1 this month regarding potential defensive reinforcements.
The two players that they have made enquiries for are Kenny Lala (Strasbourg) and Valentin Rosier (Dijon). The latter, 22, has enormous potential and is currently under contract until 2022. Last summer, Lille made an offer that was rejected for the French youth international.
The Magpies are also interested in 27-year-old Lala, who has shown exceptional attacking ability in this first half of the season with 3 goals and 6 assists.
